"I recently received my LAC and R-DMT. I am currently seeking supervision from Angela to acquire my LPC. Once I have my LPC, I hope to work clinically in oncology as well as continue to work with groups and individuals with anxiety, depression, personality disorders and transitional difficulties. As a Dance/Movement Therapist as well, I am hoping to work with individuals and groups to help bridge developmental stages and connect the mind and body for a more holistic approach to mental health. When I was looking for a supervisor to help me on my journey to my LPC, I knew it had to be Angela. I just hoped she had room in her schedule for me. I was lucky to have been already working with Angela as she was my Clinical Supervisor for my Graduate School Internship. Angela, from day one, was one hundred percent present, professional, supportive, down-to earth and truly a wealth of knowledge when it came to client care and clinical skill. I could always sit with Angela and find an approach that I could try to bring to a client or Angela would help me find the solutions in myself by fostering an environment of confidence and growth. Post graduation, my experience with Angela has gotten more profound. My confidence in my clinical ability has only become more grounded from our working together. I look forward to our weekly sessions because I know I will not only learn from our discussion, but I also often feel a sense of accomplishment, relief and fire to continue doing the work. There are a lot of ups and downs on the journey of licensure, and I feel very lucky to have a supervisor who is ready to help me navigate and also challenge me to become the counselor I strive to be. Angela is a major reason why I feel I can make an impact in our field."
